A stunning  box set from 1984 containing 20 reproduction Capitol vinyl albums housed in a gorgeous textured box with gold inlayed text. All records retain the original 1st pressing artwork.

Really is an outstanding vinyl collection by a true vocal genius. All lovingly remastered, which should appeal to audiophiles who are realistic enough to know how difficult it would be to find the original albums in anywhere near the condition we have here.

Sleeves and Inners, (of which most are Capitol advertising inners publicising the Frank Sinatra `Capitol Years` box set which came out at the same time) are in fantastic as new condition.

I really don`t think this has been played. I imagine the original owner played records once to record them, then stored them. It`s that nice!

 

The only thing to mention condition wise is a label pressing fault on one side of `The Piano Style Of...` (see pic below) I have tested this and can assure you it has absolutely no adverse affect on playability. 

  

Here is some information about this box set, taken from an audiophile forum.

`I recently got the Nat King Cole set from the same series. It was overseen by Alan Dell and probably mastered at Abbey Road. The care that went into this set is evident throughout. I was extremely dubious of the digital sourcing, but these are the best sounding digitally sourced LP's I have ever owned, bar none. Frankly, I was shocked by how good it sounded. The album "Love Is The Thing" was as good if not better than the DCC gold CD-go figure! Nice touches too-they added the mono (only) tunes back onto the album that were taken off when the stereo version was issued.
I agree that with time you probably will find nice originals, but I would never trade this Nat King Cole 20 album set. I'm the first guy to rally for all analog sourcing, but these LP's really do sound good. If the price is fair I say go for the Sinatra.
BTW the pressing is superb on my set. Flat and quiet vinyl. Here's a pic of the NKC`

Mint

No problems at all, as new, looks and sounds perfect. Sleeve will also be perfect.

Near Mint

Very few plays, minimal spindle trails around centre hole, suggesting this record has hardly been played.

Ex Some minor surface marks, mainly visable under harsh electric light, may have some very minor background interference and the odd isolated light click. But no serious faults to prevent music being enjoyed.

V. Good

The record has obviously been played quite a bit and may have quite a few surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Sound quality is not affected too much, at worst a bit of background interference and occasional ticks but no major faults that prevent music from being enjoyed.

Good

A lot of surface marks and scratches causing noticeable deteriation in sound quality. Record however, will not be unlistenable, but will have some distortion of sound and or light to moderate clicks. 

I will not sell any record with a grading lower than good.
