Description

Contains 9 individually sleeved LP's containing 151 recordings, an LP sized booklet containing interviews with Sam Phillips and many of the musicians and singers who recorded for him.  Each LP sleeve contains a track by track analyses of the recordings.  Artists include Long John Hunter, Joe Hill Louis, Sleepy John Estes, Howling Wolf,, BB King, Jackie Brenston, Roscoe Gordon, Rufus Thomas, Big Memphis Ma Rainey, Little Junior's Blue Flames, The Prisonaires, Willie Nix, JamesCotton, Pat Hare, Little Milton, and more. All 9 records and sleeves are in excellent condition. Record 2 label on "A" side shows small amount of wear, and record 3 labels on both sides also. No underlying noise or static and sound is excellent on all records.
