Classic Jungle & DnB compilation from back in the day, the first and original 1996 pressing of the genre defining compilations, Platinum Breakz. This record and vinyl sleeves and inner sleeves are in very good+ condition.
The first compilation of Goldie's Metalheadz label is a roll call of jungle's most crucial artists: Photek, Source Direct, Dillinja, J. Majik, Alex Reece, Peshay, and Lemon D. Released around the same time as L.T.J Bukem's Logical Progression, Platinum Breakz proves that Bukem has no business talking about intelligent jungle. The beats and percussion work on Platinum Breakz stand alone, besides spare synth lines and the occasional diva vocal. The rhythms constantly shift around, stopping and restarting. While Logical Progression begins to sound same, the artists on Platinum Breakz are easily differentiated. Highlights are difficult to define, though Source Direct, Photek, Dillinja, and J Majik's contributions are a very small step above the rest. Goldie's contribution -- recorded as the Rufige Kru is killer.
