Up for auction is a nice OG 1964 U.S. Blue Note stereo P-pressing of Lee Morgan's excellent comeback effort, "The Sidewinder". Probably one of Blue Note's all-time best sellers due to the fact that the title track was used in an automobile commercial at the time. Recorded 2 months before "Search For The New Land", this is just a great session. Features a young Joe Henderson and a vastly underrated Barry Harris.  FIVE MORGAN ORIGINALS. Essential funk bop.     

DEAD WAX INFO:  Side 1 has BNST - 84157 - A etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has BNST - 84157 - B etched into the dead wax. Both sides have the STEREO and VAN GELDER and the cursive "P" (ear) stamped in the dead wax. Original 1964 U.S. Blue Note stereo pressing with NY labels and no deep groove.   VINYL VISUAL: VG+ at best with some minor handling marks / light spindle marks and slight loss of gloss. Could use a cleaning.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG+ and better with AMAZING Plastylite fidelity and a wee bit of background noise. KEEPER PLAYER COPY!   
COVER VISUAL: VG and much better with general wear to corners, seams and spine. SEAM SPLIT about 1" long from opening at top. Slight crease on the paste-on (see last picture). Shows well due to minimal ring wear. 
Comes with original printed Blue Note branded inner (25 Years) which is VG and better condition. Vinyl is housed in an Audiophile style plastic inner.     DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item). 
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER).             Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g. 
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST.
