The cover is in strong VG + condition, almost near mint but one corner of cover is split, inconspicuous and minimal. The booklet is in pristine condition, and all 4 albums are near mint inside their plastic lined antistatic inner sleeves. For first time in jazz history, an entire four-record set has been created out of previously undiscovered gems, representing a cross-section of the most formidable talents in what we now realize was a golden era of Jazz. The three hours and 20 minutes of music, performed by 22 artists on 47 unissued tracks, is the product of two years of painstaking research by Kiyoshi Koyama at the Polygram tape facility in Edison, New Jersey. Comes with a 10 page booklet in English and Japanese. Many greats on this soundtrack, Paul Bley Trio, Clark Terry, Helen Merrill, Art Farmer, Roland Kirk Quartet and others.
