Original 1st US pressing of Paul McCartney's debut 1970 self-titled album “McCartney” with an original Hansen Publications, Inc. “McCartney” illustrated 68-page matching music book containing a large four-panel 16” x 21” poster with the intact perforation and color portrait photos. The currently listed copy has remained factory sealed for 54 years with the fully intact shrink wrap having the original breathe holes, one on each side of the album. The front side of the gatefold cover contains an incredibly rare hype sticker affixed to the shrink wrap, which can be found only on the very early 1st pressing copies of this album, promoting the “Maybe I’m Amazed” hit from the album which hadn’t been previously released as a single. The hype sticker measures 1½” reading “Includes the Hit ‘Maybe I’m Amazed’” East Coast pressing copy with the "Manufactured by APPLE RECORDS INC. 1700 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10019 Printed in U.S.A." 3-line credits at the bottom of the back cover. Among our currently listed items, you can also find this album in another format, a factory sealed Mint copy of 7½ IPS 4-Track Stereo AMPEX reel-to-reel tape.

The album is graded as Mint Minus. Aside from a light ding to the bottom left corner, it's in stunning condition with the fully intact factory shrink wrap containing the original breathe hole on the front cover and not having any splits, tears or missing pieces. The original matching music book is in great vintage condition only having some very light age scuffing on the front and back cover.
