Description
A beautiful first pressing, sealed album of Paul McCartney & Wings entitled, "Venus and Mars". This original first pressing album was released in 1975 and it is now 43 years old and was released on Capitol/EMI Records SMAS-11419 in NM- condition overall.
This particular album is really beautiful overall, with four sharp corners, no ringwear, two vertical breathe holes on the left side of the front cover, beautiful spine and seams, no opening at the mouth and with a clean, round promo hole at the top right front cover (just above the customized hype sticker). The only thing that has happened to this LP is the bottom shrink at the seam has split from the pressure of this thick packaging (see photo number 8 for the split). It is about 70% across the bottom, but it remains tightly sealed and has caused absolutely no damage or detractors from the album cover itself. During manufacturing, it appears that the plant's machine lightly scratched two small slivers on front cover (very tiny, but on the yellow ball (or planet) and to the left of the planet.
This album is chocked full of goodies, too. Inside you will find two custom stickers, two large posters and also a customized Venus and Mars inner liner. What a fantastic album this remains! One of my favorite McCartney albums ever, especially with Wings. With the seam split, I have priced this accordingly.
I have described this total LP as accurately as possible and it will be a fantastic addition to any collector's records. I'm quite strict about my grading. This is one for the discriminating and picky collectors.
