Description
Martha Bass: Rescue Me. Checker stereo LPS 10048, 1968. Martha sung briefly with the Ward Singers; she is the mother of Fontella Bass. She's got quite a set of pipes - check out the audio sample below. Songs: Since I've Been Born Again; In Times Like These; Rescue Me; Only What You Do for Christ; Keep On Keepin' On; House of Gold; No, No; I Come to the Garden; Go Ahead; Now That I Found the Lord; Christmas Love. Cover is still in the shrink, but has mild aging and discoloration. Vinyl plays VG to VG+ as you can hear in the sample. "Christmas Love" has about a dozen mild tics from a small scratch. Very rare album. Includes original Cadet/Checker inner sleeve, though it's a little ragged at the open end.
