MARK LEVINSON RECORD - ELIOT FISK PLAYS SCARLATTI AND BACH – MLAR C 0000006 (MALC) – ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
This album needs no introduction to the music lovers and audiophiles who will be bidding here.
Suffice it to say that it is one of a handful of very well-respected LP's that came out of the high-end audiophile launch of Mark Levinson stereo equipment in the US during the early to late 1970's. Mark Levinson stereo products were very high-end and an audiophile favorite at this time. In addition to selling equipment, Levinson also led the way in pioneering audiophile records. To setting up the mics right through to pressing this record, every level of care was taken. Like Mercury records of several decades before, his pressings were all about quality control and reproducing the finest sound that 70's technology could do.
This is a stellar copy of Fisk's wonderful guitar playing, a gray label pressed in France, and in NM (if not Mint) condition. The gatefold cover is also NM.
NOTE: According to some sources, of all of Mark Levinson's records, this was his favorite. NOT TO BE MISSED. A TREASURE IN AUDIOPHILE VINYL!
