Description
This is the original UK LP by MOTT THE HOOPLE, BRIAN CAPERS, November 1971 1st Press on the ISLAND Pink Rim label ILPS-9178
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- ILPS 9178 A-1U , Side 2:-ILPS 9178 B-1U
Stampers are, Side 1:- 2 / RR, Side 2:- 2 / GO
Additionally on Side 1 in the 'dead-wax' run-off is etched 'PORKY' and Side 2 has etched 'PECKO'
Both Matrix numbers and Stamper codes clearly indentify this as a Very 1st Pressing
The Mask issued only with a very small number of 1st Pressing's is missing
The original 1971 UK matt finished Howards Printers cover is in a SUPERB EX+++ condition!, beautfully clean and factory fresh!. The cover maintains all it's original bright vibrant colours, superb!!. The lovely solid slim spine, with 'Pinched corners' shows ONLY light wear, clean and perfectly readable. Their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits, no sticker marks.
The vinyl is in a * STUNNING EX+++ / MINT- condition *, gleaming with all it's original 'Just Pressed glossy shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very very carefully!) and the vinyl plays MINT-!!!. The vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity *, amazing Stereo sound!!!! *, stunning clear bright sound. The quality of this 1971 UK Stereo 1st Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!!
The 'Pink Rim' ISLAND label's are in ** MINT- ** condition!!!, beautifully clean and factory fresh!, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows little or no wear!, beautiful labels!
The vinyl is housed in a original 1971 UK plain white inner sleeve and in EX condition!, with only a small bit of writing in the top left, their is no other unwanted writing and no seam splits.
