Condizioni : il retrocopertina mostra posteriormente un modesto taglietto nella parte media-inferiore sul bordo del lato sinistro, si osservi per cortesia la scansione n° 2. Per il resto troviamo alcune tracce di moderata usura qui e là; grande stato, EX+ / vinile che sembra poco meno che nuovo ma il suo ascolto rivela un pò di rumore di fondo nelle parti iniziali della prima traccia su entrambi i lati e nella parte finale dell'ultima traccia nel secondo lato; grande stato, EX

Condition : the back cover shows a small tear in the lower middle part on the edge of the left side, note please scan No. 2. For the rest, we find some traces of moderate wear here and there, EX+ / vinyl that looks a little less than new but its listening reveals some background noise in the initial parts of the first track on both sides and in the final part of the last track on the second side, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : ultimo film della cosiddetta trilogia della nevrosi e probabilmente a torto o ragione il meno apprezzato. Non direi, a mio modesto avviso, che questo stesso problema debba porsi anche per la sua colonna sonora. Certamente Morricone aveva alle spalle i suoi capolavori musicali per i due precedenti film di Elio Petri: "Indagine su un Cittadino al di sopra di ogni Sospetto" e "La classe Operaia va in Paradiso". Si trattava comunque di due opere con una trama ed una sceneggiatura più ortodossa e cioè allineata a schemi cinematografici già collaudati sotto la guida della mano sapiente del regista. In questi due casi il lavoro del compositore si presentò maggiormente facilitato per la coerenza che le immagini esprimevano. Qui invece la trama scorre a singhiozzi spesso abortita da improvvisi monologhi dei due attori protagonisti con immagini deformate dei loro volti. Inoltre una certa irrazionalità emotiva e la bella fotografia espressionistica dalle luci severe apparentemente non aiutavano Morricone. E' una supposizione del tutto errata! La bella partitura per questo film oltre ad evidenziare ancora una volta quel minimalismo dei suoni, da sempre oggetto di una continua ricerca ed evoluzione, percorre con grande intelligenza il sentiero della musica d'avanguardia grazie a soluzioni di interscambio tra voce e suono. In particolare mi riferisco alle tracce "L'ultimo Ascensore" (a4), "Io Sono… "Avere" Tu Sei … "Avere" (a5) e "Mostra Antifurto" (b4). Nella prima si trovano svariate fugaci sonorità, violini dalle note ruvide e il rantolio di voci umane che si snodano come in una processione sacrilega. La seconda è caratterizzata da effetti sonori che simulano i rumori del vento interrotti a più riprese da voci quasi demoniache, la terza è interamente basata su una percussività che aumenta pian piano d’intensità ed in cui si inseriscono le scarne note del pianoforte, alcune pulsazioni del basso e una voce isterica. Difficile per me descrivere le peculiarità di ciascuna traccia e riassumo tutto ciò che resta con poche e semplici parole: vibrazioni sonore che compaiono e rapidamente svaniscono per cedere il posto ad altre.

Notes : last film of so-called trilogy about neurosis and probably rightly or wrongly least appreciated. I would not say, in my humble opinion, that this same question should arise also for its soundtrack. Certainly Morricone had behind his masterpieces for the two previous films of Elio Petri: "Indagine su un Cittadino al di sopra di ogni Sospetto" and "La classe Operaia va in Paradiso". It was a matter of two works by a more orthodox plot and screenplay namely in agreement with the proven cinematic patterns led by the skilful hand of the director. In these two cases, the work of the composer came facilitated by consistency that the pictures had expressed. Here instead the plot runs intermittently often aborted by sudden monologues of the two lead actors with distorted images of their faces. In addition, a certain emotional irrationality and the beautiful expressionistic photography from the stringent lighting, apparently did not help Morricone. It is a completely wrong assumption! The beautiful film score besides highlighting once again the minimalistic sound always object of continuous research and evolution, travels with great cleverness the path of avant-garde music through an interchange between voice and sound. In particular I am referring to the tracks "L'ultimo Ascensore" (a4), "Io Sono… "Avere" Tu Sei … "Avere" (a5) and "Mostra Antifurto" (b4). In the first we find several fleeting sonorities, violins from hard notes and the gasp of human voices that meander like in a sacrilegious procession. The second is characterized by sound effects that simulate the wind noise interrupted several times by almost demonic voices, the third is entirely based on a percussiveness which increases gradually in intensity and where sparse piano notes, some bass pulsations and a hysterical voice come in. It is difficult for me to describe the peculiarities of each track and I summarize what is left with a few simple words: sound vibrations that appear and fade away quickly to make room to others.

Un film grottesco con una certa ispirazione al teatro di Brecht coprodotto da Italia e Francia. Regia di Elio Petri, con Ugo Tognazzi, Flavio Bocci, Salvo Randone, Daria Nicolodi, Luigi Proietti, Mario Scaccia e Orazio Orlando.
