Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   CANADA ~ 1 LP 8.50; 2 discs $10.00; 3 discs $11.50; over 4 please contact us for shipping costs.   AUSTRALIA, THAILAND, JAPAN ~ 1 LP $18.00; 2 discs $23.00; 3 discs $27.00; 4 discs $32.00. TOP COPY!

Original 1971 first pressing in thick gatefold...still unknown to many, B.B. Blunder is in essence, the THIRD BLOSSOM TOES album, and as legend goes, it was NEVER released in England (!?!)... Somewhat underground rock, prog rock, & semi-hard rock, with odd song writing. This one is kind of tough to accurately describe. Definitely the Blossom Toes sound, ala their "If Only For A Moment' 2nd Lp...With main Blossom Toes members Kevin Westlake, Brian Godding & Brian Belshaw

The album came out in early 1971, under the title “Workers’ Playtime” in a sleeve designed (amongst other things) to look like a copy of the Radio Times, with the songs and lyrics printed-out in the gatefold – to resemble the programme schedules. The idea seemed pretty funny at the time (especially the band on the cover in boiler suits, bus uniforms etc.) but today has lost some of its charm. Also who now remembers the radio programme “Workers’ Playtime”? The name B. B. Blunder was hardly a killer either. It arose during the less than successful month at Island, when engineer Chris Kimsey scribbled on a tape-box - containing less than wonderful tapes – “B. B. (i.e. Brian Godding & Brian Belshaw) Blunder” (ie screw-up). Great. The point is that the name and package bear so little relation to the music inside that most people ignored the album. Also, it has to be said, that like the second Blossom Toes album, it came out at a time when such music was unfashionable. Rock fans at the time were into Yes, ELO and Alice Cooper. In fact overall the music is really a continuation of the second Blossom Toes album. A little psychy in parts, a bit complex in places and – dare one say it – a bit more sophisticated, but undeniably Blossom Toes styled melodic. Once again it failed to set the charts alight, which is a pity because it really was one of the best albums of the early 70’s. By general consent and agreement the “Blunder” name was dropped on the also rare re-issue, in favour of what it really was – a second version of Blossom Toes. Here, the first pressing in advanced released promotional, highly desired collectible as it should be....
