Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! Killer 1971 hard rock power trio from Michigan led by guitarist & vocalist Paul Frank who's wild distortion guitar solo's dominate this highlight release.
Recorded in 1971 on major label Capitol records has instantly achieved cult status and sits in well with bands such as "Damnation", "Power Of Zeus", "Bang!", "Grand Funk Railroads" first two albums, and other early 1970's long-hair crunchy heavy rock bands fitting the style, yet "Head Over Heels" is far harder to find, probably due to Capitol's decision to limit the pressing of HEAD OVER HEELS only album...
Showcasing a line up consisting of drummer John Bredeau, singer/guitarist Paul Frank and singer/bassist Michael Urso = HEAD OVER HEELS managed to release this instantly obscure album, yet what an LP!
Produced by Dan Moore and Buzz Clifford, 1971's Head Over Heels is quite impressive. Loud, tough, yet surprisingly accessible, material such as "Road Runner" and "In My Woman" showcases the trio's ability in melodic tunes coupled with crunching guitar rock.
Frank and Urso have attractive voices and as we said before, they sure could generate consistent impressive moves. Among the missteps remains the odd harmony vocals (Question) and the power ballad "Children Of The Mist" (which was almost redeemed by Frank's nice guitar solo).
Elsewhere, recorded at Detroit's Eastowne, an extended take of "Red Rooster" and the Franks-penned "Circles" were efforts aptly showcasing the band's ever impressive chops.
