You are watching a mega rare item featuring the legendary minimal synth band TRANSPARENT ILLUSION !!!

The story of this single :

I came across this item early 2000.In my search for the Transparent Illusion guy Roy Young,I got to know Dave Hoser the sound engineer who recorded all of the T.I tracks in 1980/81.We have now become close friends.At the time Dave gave me a couple of ultra rare items and also pointed me in the direction of an old friend who had been working for various pressing plants and who might have been able to help...

After 3 years of negotiations,this bloke offered me to buy ten copies of a test pressing single with two tracks by Transparent Illusion that had been recorded before the "Still Human" LP. I bought the singles and wasn't too sure when it had been pressed cos I was given very little info,so when I swapped a few with other collectors,I told them what I'd been told.The two tracks were original versions and pre Still Human versions by Roy Young but I had absolutely no guarantee the single was pressed in the 80's and I strongly suspected it had been pressed later.Shortly after,with the help of Dave who confirmed he had recorded those two tracks on 18 April 1980 and told me that this single had been pressed late 90's early 2000 as a white test pressing of ONLY 15 copies.

I bought 10 of those and swapped them all,I am now parting from a spare copy.The geezer I bought the singles from kept the last 5 copies and wasn't willing to sell them,so I don't know what's become of them.

No need to say that it is an ultra rare item as only 15 copies were pressed.

The two tracks are : Vortex  demo version (different version from the Vortex single that was released in 1981) and Concepts (which actually is the demo version of the track "Demented" that appears on the Still Human LP.The tracks were mastered and pressed from the original reel tapes.At the time,the project was called ROY YOUNG and not Transparent Illusion.

Most of you probably know these tracks by now as they were reissued by Anna Logue records,as Marc (Anna Logue's master mind) was a long time trading partner and friend and asked me if I could help him tracking down Dave Hoser and get hold of the demo tracks.So this single was the very first version of the tracks ever pressed,before they landed as bonus tracks on the beautiful reissue of Still Human released by Anna Logue.

To be as accurate as possible in the description of the item,it is very simple,plain white sleeve with signs of storage.Typewritten info on the front cover,the vinyl is a white test pressing with a) and b) handwritten on the white label.The vinyl is unplayed,the catalogue pressing number is deleted on one side not on the other.What else ? Both tracks are bleeding gorgeous !!!

You won't see this item twice,I haven't put a decent reserve price and I am also considering trading if you have any interesting and rare items.
