Description

MILES DAVIS – COOKIN’ WITH THE MILES DAVIS QUINTET – PRESTIGE PR 7094 – 446 W. 50TH ST. N.Y.C – EX/EX – MONO

Recorded on October 26, 1956 at Van Gelder’s studio, this Prestige session features Miles Davis on trumpet, John Coltrane on tenor, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums. SIDE A: MY FUNNY VALENTINE and BLUES BY FIVE. SIDE B: AIREGIN; TUNE UP and WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE LOW. The address on both the LP is 446 W. 50TH ST., N.Y.C and on the record jacket is 447 WEST 50TH STREET, NEW YORK 19, NY. On the A Side is stamped “RVG” with a “B” sideways and on the B Side is stamped “RVG” with a “B” sideways. The edge of the LP has a lip. This is MONO recording.

I have graded the LP as well as the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl on Side A is clean, without any marks. The vinyl on Side B has a few light marks on it, but otherwise, it’s clean and they do not interfere with play. There is little to no wear in or around the spindle hole and the vinyl still retains its original luster. There is a nametag on the label of Side A. The record jacket is in excellent condition. What keeps it from a M- grade is that someone tried to remove a sticker on the liner notes on the upper left corner and took some of the original liner notes with it. You can see it on the photo below. Other than that, the record jacket is in near mint condition. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.10 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $3.17 or by Priority Mail @ $5.95 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $22.30 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
