Description
One of the most highly regarded interpretations and audiophile pressings of Gustav Holst's 'The Planets' as conducted by the late great Sir Georg Solti. Initially released in 1979 by Decca Records in the UK and by London Records in the U.S., Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab issued the ultimate pressing of this recording in 1982 (MFQR 1-510) within their UHQR series. The audio is breathtaking in its detail and almost 3-dimensional soundstage. I assure you that if you are familiar with this particular performance (be it from CD, tape, regular vinyl pressing etc.) you will not believe the highs, mid range, and low-end coming through your speakers or headphones from this superb pressing.

Record: Near Mint(-)....the surface of the record looks flawless and mirror-like; you could even make a case that this record looks unplayed. The matte-silver labels are near-perfect and show that this record has seen no more than 2 or 3 plays. Only during the very start of both sides did I hear a bit of low level static; but nothing that overpowers the music in any way.
