SOUND SAMPLE AUTO STARTED WHEN YOU OPENED THE PAGE, TURN UP THE VOLUME... and have a READ . 

Sound Sample is of  opening track for 2 minutes 37 seconds, from  side 1, with a 15 second gap while I flip the disc. then 7 minutes on the other side 2 opening. This is the most prone area to have scratches or needle drop damage, As you can hear,  very clean, the rest plays no worse than this.  Visually there are not even spider line scuffs in sunlight.  only one rotational spindle mark on each sides label.  That's why I reckon its NM

THIS MFSL pressing on JVC Virgin Vinyl pressed in Japan, highly sought after in Audiophile circles. Engineered re master from Original Master Tapes, remastered for the HI FI market as opposed to the standard issue engineered for radio broadcast. CONDITION REPORT BELOW .

OF INTEREST IS ALSO THE FACT THIS IS THE ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING OF THE DECCA RECORDING, THAT ON UK 1ST ISSUE VINYL (SXL 6822)is rated in the top 12 "best of the Bunch" classical LP category on the TAS list.  (the Absolute Sound magazine list of "Must Have or listen to LP's.

The label on reverse of MFSL cover only gives credit to the USA Decca London label, as UK Deccas for licensing reasons were only sold in the USA under the London Label, but this is the same recording session as UK SXL 6822, just re mastered as described above.  

One of the early mobile Fidelity Sound Lab productions first issued in 1981, (first mobile issues 1979), INNER SLEEVE PROTECTOR WITH CURRENT CATALOGUE ONLY COVERS ISSUES UPTO 1981, not including this one, so this is most likely a very early pressing before they updated the catologue /protector (see photo 7 where this issue 1-507 is not in the list yet.  Relatively un common mfsl issue, and hard to find in really good condition. also has initials of MASTERING ENGINEER "SR" (STAN RICKER) in runout grooves.

LP Rated Near Mint  (No scratches,  as you can hear no effect to sound quality, not even fine paper scuffs in bright sunlight

LP CONDITION Near Mint MINUS very hard to find even minor paper scuffs in sunlight,

PLAYS FAULTLESSLY  only a bit of light static between tracks, and very occasional non repetetive tics as per normal vinyl replay. There is ONE rotational spindle mark on EACH label (SEE Supersize photo's). 

COVER CONDITION Near Mint Minus, no seam splits, hardly anything visible in the photo though. No ring wear, rear is clean .
