This is almost impossible to find!!...

The guy that made the record (William Metzler) gave this to my sister in 1969 or 1970 when she was a medical student in London..He was visiting London for a short while before returning to Houston..

I got more info on this....The photography on the Moving Sidewalks album (they were also from Houston) was done by a guy called William Metzler...So he must have been well involved in the Texas Psych scene ..

In 1974,a privately pressed album emerged (from Texas) entitled "Metz" on the Chrome Starr label (this 45 is on Lone Starr and published by "Chrome Music")..

Only a couple of copies of this album have EVER been offered for sale and from what I gather,it is a blend of punky glam rock with lashings of psych guitar..

To my knowledge,this 45 has NEVER been offered for sale!.

This 45 is guitar dominated heavy psych with fairly basic drum and bass parts..It sounds a little bit as if the tracks are in the ealy stage of their development...

Issued on Lone Starr Records in 1969 (maybe 1970)..LSR 101..USA pressing..It plays at 33 (the tracks are long clocking in at 5:50 and 6:10)..It's signed on one of the labels by the guitarist..William Metzler....

The play grade is EX..It suffers a little from underproduction,but that's how it is!..

Visual grade is EX minus...A few light scuffs is all...is is the second pressing with the corrected publishing credit for "Money"..

It has "Gramophone" text to the label rim and "Recording First Published" but no "Sold In The Uk"..

The matrix numbers are:..XEX 447 3N and XEX 448 3N..

The mothers and stampers are:..1 RL and 3 AD..

Issued on Parlophone in 1963..PMC 1206..UK pressing in mono..It comes in a front laminated,full flipback Garrod And Lofthouse..It does not have an "Emitex" inner sleeve...

Play grade...EX minus..There are no nasty pops or persistant clicking..A hint of crackle and the odd isolated "tic" is all..

Visual grade:..VG+..Both sides have light hairlines (supeficial) and the A side has a small but noticeable scuff (I have done the sound clip of this and as you can hear,it has no affect on play at all)..There are no danagerous or terminal scratches or other marks..

The disc plays flat on the deck with no edge warps..

The labels:...The A side label has a VERY slight sticker mark to the top left,but otherwise,the labels are undamaged....There is visible spindle wear and the edges of the centre hole are white...

The sleeve..VG minus..Here are the defects.....Wear to the corners....Some staining on the back (Spine side)..A very small seam split at the bottom of the opening edge....

It has no rips,tears,major seam splits,sellotape or scribble..There is minimal edge rubbing,light dischape,the spine is undamaged with clearly legible text and the flipbacks have only light wear...
