ARTIST: Mel Carter (born 1943, Cincinnati, Ohio)

ALBUM TITLE: When a boy falls in love

LABEL: 1965 PROMOTIONAL PRESSING ALBUM on SAR Records (Sam Cooke's own label), catalog no. LPM 702, MONOAURAL, made in USA. "D-J" stamp affixed on back cover. Identical with the 1963 album on Derby label, both pressing albums being equally very rare and valuable.

CONDITION: front cover is between Exc. to NM (having two corners just a little bumped plus a couple of minor creases by spine), back cover is close to NM, vinyl is Exc. side one (having a few tiny superficial marks) and close to NM side two (having some tiny scattered scuffs plus a few sleeve marks). Record was cleaned and tested, playing as close as possible to MINT.

MUSIC: 12 tracks, studio recordings. Featuring special remakes of Sam Cooke's songs "When a boy falls in love" and "Hold me", singer also doing background vocals on a few tracks. Mel Carter's debut album.
