Description
This band was put together by Ray Pierle. 300 original records were pressed in 1977. This later edition of the album was repressed in 1973 with the blessing of Ray himself and he signed some copies. This one has all the inserts and only another 300 were pressed here. Very much recommended.
The Story of McKay:
This band starred the talents of Ray Pierle who was from Indianapolis, Indiana. They Gigged around town as the "Loos Band" that included Ray (guitar, bass, vocals) his brother Glen (drums), Norm Preston (guitar), Lynn Staffen (vocals) and Steve Whaley (guitars). they changed their name to "McKay" (Ray's middle name) before recording their only album "Into You". They sound like "Buffalo Springfield" and "CSNY" at times with dreamy vocals and harmonies. The acoustic moments remind me of "High Coin"....the "West Coast Pop Art" version. Great stuff and rare as all get out, as there was only local distribution. Ray continued on as a solo artist and put out a few albums locally, but he really never got much notice until recently. Very much recommended.
