Description
1st pressing of Back In The USA on the UK Atlantic label. A1/B1. Super rarity - just try finding another red & plum copy let alone one in archive condition. Please note this copy contains the uncensored version of TEENAGE LUST. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original fully laminated pinched spine sleeve. Also included is the plastic bag warning inner sleeve which is date coded 02-70 [i.e. Feb 1970].
Vinyl (Ex+/NM) Unbelievable condition...the mind just boggles when you see a copy this nice. Shiny like new and with almost no spindle wear at all. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - so insignificant they are barely worth mentioning. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEARMINT level of playback - and I am in no way exaggerating this. Very very rarely do you find a truly nearmint vintage record - but occasionally one drops out of the ether and here it is. Listening to the LP is pure joy - the audio is as clean and clear as the day it was pressed. Intros and inbetweens are perfectly silent. I absolutely guarantee that you will never ever hear a cut of this LP as good as this one. Interference is totally absent - I don't recall a single crackle the whole way through. It is faultless in every way and it is truly a shame that I can only listen to it the once.
Cover (Ex+) Whoever owned this Lp was practically an archivist! Lord knows how you can find a copy like this after 47 years...Pretty much perfect in every way only the tiniest of imperfections. Slight laminate lift along one edge - but I'd imagine that is impossible to avoid on any copy. I think there is one tiny crease! Overall rigidity is superb and the spine is perfectly intact.
Inner (Vg) Aged and the seams have been taped up. The records will arrive in a new anti-static inner sleeve.
