Up for bids is the RARE Original Mono Pressing of Billie Holiday’s Lady in Satin featuring Ray Ellis and his orchestra LP from 1958! Overall condition is Excellent! Vinyl is VG+++ with some light characteristic static, but not overwhelming. Tested with NO skips. There are some visible blemishes which do not affect sound quality and performance. Jacket is excellent with only minor edge wear, vivid spine and barely visible seam repair. Original Columbia Inner Sleeve on heavier quality paper rounds out this awesome combo in stellar condition and highlights other period artist offerings from the record label. Also joining Billie on this recording are trombone legends; Urbie Green and JJ Johnson. This is a must have for Billie Holiday / vocal jazz fans! Also see my SACD auction for the very same recording!
