Description

MAXINE BROWN - WE CAN WORK IT OUT / LET ME GIVE YOU MY LOVIN' [WAND 1128]

Label: Wand 1128 Titles: "We Can Work It Out" & "Let Me Give You My Lovin'" Year: 1966
The 1965 Beatles classic written by Paul McCartney & John Lennon as recorded in 1966 by soul singer Maxine Brown. Brown brings a new approach to the track by slowing it down, adding horns and giving it a completely different sound. The backing vocals are provided by the Sweet Inspirations with Cissy Houston leading the backing group. On the flip side, "Le Me Give You My Lovin'" was cowritten by Brown with Tommy Kaye
The label has typical label wear on either side. There are no stickers on the label. There is no writing on the label. There is a BB hole in the label that appears over the name "Maxine" on the A side and over the Wand info on the right of the B side. The vinyl has typical wear on either side. There is some background noise on the A side, but the B sound sounds great. You can listen to the actual record here.

*Please note - my turntable is a simple ION Profile LP simply for converting media. It is by no means a high end turntable and the sound quality will be MUCH better on a higher end turn table.
All records come with basic sleeves unless a factory or picture sleeve is indicated in the description. I do not use a grading system as I feel that everyone interprets it differently. For example, I see many records listed as being Near Mint, yet the label is torn or has writing on it. To me that is not near mint. I prefer to describe the record as best I can, post photos, and allow viewers to listen to the actual record as to determine for themselves how the record should be graded.
I ship using Media Mail at $3.00 and deliver the day of or after the payment is received. Please remember that shipping costs also include the cost of materials to ship the order. International shipping is available. The cost to ship this Internationally is $14.00.  I will also combine shipping. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible, however recent increases by USPS have affected what I charge to ship - and believe me, I am NOT happy about it.
I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.
