Mary Hopkin - 'Water, Paper and Clay / Jefferson'. Apple 39

Mary Hopkin 1971 UK 1st Apple DEMO pressing of the 'Water, Paper and Clay / Jefferson' 7" single. Released on the 26th November 1971, the vinyl is housed within the rare UK APPLE PICTURE SLEEVE. Not all copies came housed within this sleeve, many were simply issued with a standard Apple sleeve.

Both sides of the vinyl state ‘DEMO RECORD NOT FOR SALE’ and the release date of 26.11.71. The a-side also features an embossed 'PT' tax code which is clearly an error as this code only existed from November 1962 through January 1963 after which is was changed. A very rare issue of this hard to find single.

The Matrix numbers are:

Side 1. APPLE 39 A-1U 2 G KT

Side 2. APPLE 39 B-1U 1 G KT

The vinyl is in EXCELLENT+ condition.

Both labels are in MINT- condition.

The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
