On offer here is a VERY rare Acetate 45 (especially in this condition!!!!) by Manfred Mann called "Oh! What A Day" and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK UNRELEASED EMIDISC ACETATEl!!!! There is NO 'B Side' - as this acetate is one-sided!!!! THIS ACETATE IS OF THE UTMOST RARITY AND IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST VERSION OF THIS TRACK EVER MADE!!!! IN FACT, IT IS TRUE TO SAY - THAT THIS COULD BE THE ONLY RECORDING OF THIS TRACK LEFT IN EXISTENCE (AS IT WAS NEVER RELEASED!)!!!! THIS ACETATE WOULD HAVE BEEN PRESSED TO CHECK THE SOUND QUALITY OF THE TRACK (USUALLY LISTENED TO BY THE BAND THEMSELVES - OR A SOUND ENGINEER) TO CHECK THE MIX!!!! IF THE BAND WERE HAPPY WITH THE VERSION ON THE ACETATE - THEN IT WAS APPROVED FOR PRESSING & RELEASE!!!! AND IN THIS CASE, CLEARLY THE BAND WERENT HAPPY WITH THIS TRACK AT ALL - FOR AS FAR AS I CAN TELL (I HAVE SEARCHED EVERYWHERE USING THE LYRICS & TITLE!) THIS TRACK WAS NEVER RELEASED AT ALL!!!! AND THIS MAKES IT THE RAREST MANFRED MANN RECORD EVER TO BE OFFERED FOR SALE - EVER!!!!
NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS ACETATE IS IN GREAT CONDITION OVERALL!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK EMIDISC ACETATE ON THE 1ST PRESS EMIDISC LABEL, AND COMES WITH A PLAIN CARD COVER!!!! THIS ACETATE IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL EMIDISC UK 1st Pressing from 1968 and is in GREAT condition overall!!!! This acetate also has no Cat Number (as when this track was put onto this acetate - a Cat number hadnt even been allocated yet!) and is a UK MONO 1st Pressing!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks!!!! The acetate is in GREAT condition overall and still gives a reasonable account of itself!!!! Most of these 60s acetates had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 3 or 4 VERY light hairlines, only 3 or 4 MEGA light scufflines, and only some EXTREMELY light general paper scuffing only visible under light!!!! The acetate plays with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle!!!! However, there is some audible background sound throughout the track on this acetate (as with most acetates from the 1960s!) though this can be lessened by reducing the treble!!!! The acetate still plays reasonably WELL and gives a reasonable account of itself - though the background is audible throughout the track, and the music is a little muffled (but NOT distorted!)!!!! BUT PLEASE REMEMBER, THAT THIS ACETATE FEATURES AN UNRELEASED TRACK (AND IS PROBABLY THE ONLY RECORDING OF THIS TRACK LEFT IN EXISTENCE!), SO IT ISNT AS IF YOU CAN WAIT FOR ANOTHER ONE!!!! The record must visually grade Very Good(Minus) (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - with the playing grade as clearly described above!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The Acetate also comes in a plain card cover!!!! THIS ACETATE IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
