The Beatles  "The Beatles VS The Four Seasons"

This is a US vinyl pressing on Vee Jay DX 30  from 1964.    This is a Mono pressing.    The Beatles disc is the 'Introducing The Beatles' and it plays the Version Two songs.     The Four Seasons disc is their 'Golden Hits Of The Four Seasons'.   The labels are black with colorband and VJ in brackets.      It does not have the poster.

The Beatles disc is geniune.    It has 'Introducing The Beatles and 'The Beatles' above the spindle hole.   The inner groove is 7/8 inch wide.   The labels and the disc play the correct 'Version Two' songs.   The colorband has all the correct colors.     

This is an Allentown Record Company  (ARC) pressing.   The cover is  VJDX30.MC1 in Bruce Spizer's book.   The Beatles record is VJ1062 (2) MR2D(ii) in Bruce Spizer's book.   That is black label with colorband, VJ in brackets, left justified titles, and 'long play' in two words.    

The matrix numbers are :  The Beatles Disc : Side One : machine stamped 'audio matrix'.    Then hand etched : 63-3402  ARC  2-11-64.     The Beatles Disc : Side Two : machine stamped : 'audio matrix'.     Then hand etched : 63-3403  ARC  URJ.      The Four Seasons Disc : Side One :  machine stamped 'audio matrix' and MR in a circle.   Then hand etched : 63-3408 ARC  triangle 5713.   The Four Season Disc : Side Two : machine stamped : 'audio mattrix' and MR in a circle.   Then hand etched : 63-3409 ARC  triangle 5713-X  7-3-63.

The songs are :  The Beatles Disc :  I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Ask Me Why, Please Please Me, Baby It's You, Do You Want To Know A Secret, A Taste Of Honey, There's A Place, and Twist And Shout.   The Four Seasons Disc : Sherry, I've Cried Before, Marlena, Soon, Ain't That A Shame, Walk Like A Man, Connie-O, Big Girls Don't Cry, Starmaker, Candy Girl, Silver Wings, and Peanuts.

Overall Condition is : Cover is VG+ /  Records are VG+ and VG+

The gatefold cover is VG+.      There is no ring wear, no seam splits, and no tape.    There is a very small name on the front cover to the right of 'Two Record Set'.    There is seam wear at top right and at bottom right.     The corners have tiny bumps.          The vinyl on The Beatles Disc looks VG++ and it plays VG++.     It's super glossy, with a couple light handling marks.   It plays amazing with no static, no crackling, and no pops.    There are very light spindle marks that can hardly be noticed.      The Four Seasons disc looks VG+ and it plays VG+.    It's glossy with light handling marks and looks like it's been played more than the Beatles disc.       But, it plays great, with no static, no crackles, or no pops.      The Four Seasons disc labels are clean with no spindle marks.  The records come in a plain white inner sleeves.

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.  

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides. 

Postage :  Weight : 2 pounds 2 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 34 ounces (2 pounds, 2 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.      ( Buyers from Brazil must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.
