Light years from the airy pop of "Do Wah Diddy Diddy," recorded by the hit-making first group formed by Manfred Mann and Mike Hugg in 1963.
This is as much jazz as rock with hardly any guitar, but a swaggering horn section.
Imagine a darker, moodier Traffic with Mann swirling on the organ instead of Steve Winwood and Hugg's raspy vocals.
This is the first album recorded with the new band and standout tracks are the opening "Travelling Lady" and "Time," but they are hardly the only strong ones as the whole work stands the test of time

Clean, bright and fresh labels with no marks or wear and only a handful of light spindle traces
VINYL Visual: MINT-
Immaculate vinyl surfaces which are unmarked and shine like-new
VINYL Audio: MINT-
This copy has seen only a handful of spins at most, been very carefully handled and my play-check at loud volume revealed nothing to fault the sound performance. The whole set plays beautifully and sounds amazing - no scratches, no loud clicks or pops, no surface noise and no groove-wear or distortion. Only given a (-) to the MINT audio grading as it has been played but in essence this sounds like a brand new copy
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT+
The gatefold has some touches of rubbing to the edges and very light rubbing to the surfaces but all of these are very, very minor. The original owner has laminated the spine to avoid any wear (probably did this with all his records - which demonstrates how well he cared for them). Overall, a very fine example of this normally heavily worn sleeve
INNER SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
Clean and unmarked with no seam splits and the poly-lining still firmly attached
