CONDITION SUMMARY (Sleeve/Disc) EX/EX (see below for more detailed appraisal) DESCRIPTION Great rare Cotswold folk LP, "Madrigal was formed in 1973 by a merger of an unaccompanied group and two singer/guitarists.  Most of their concerts are given in Gloucestershire.  Their music is a blend of folk and country sounds, using well known songs and original material written by John Cook.  John is the lead instrumentalist with Paul Driscoll as co-guitraist.  Their sound is augmented by Shane Jackson on violin and on one track by Carolyn Whettell on Mellotron.  Vocals are supplied by all nine members of the group.  The solo on 'Long A-Growing' is taken by Valerie Wicks and the duet 'Take Me Home - Country Roads' is sung by Carolyn Whettell and John Cook.  Alessandra Jackson, Rosamund Crawford, Robert Wicks and Tim Jackson lend their considerable talents to complete the group."

Sleeve was a plain white card sleeve which has a single paste over on both sides, this has been really well applied and displays no ripling.  The disc has MAD100 as a matrix scratch.  The label has an inner groove and outer rim with a rough texture (visible in the youtube slideshow), side A has the Mecolico tax stamp in situ.

Often reported as being manufactured in a quantity of only 100 copies, it is now well known among collectors and dealers that more than this quantity has managed to surface over time... however, it is still highly saught after and desired by collectors of this genre.

Check out the YouTube slideshows I have done of this actual record, I have used this disc and the sleeve, nothing has been cleaned, the disc was played as is, the sound has not been electronically cleaned or enhanced... so just a raw recording... the disc will be cleaned carefully before being shipped.

CONDITION (IN DETAIL) In really nice condition, check out the youtube slideshow of this actual item to see and hear more.       SALES SUMMARY / TERMS AND CONDITIONS We always ship records securely, packing the freshly cleaned disc outside of the picture sleeve to prevent seam splits, the sleeve will be packaged against new made to measure card and along with the disc it will be housed inside a new plastic sleeve.  This will then be packaged with more new card stiffening in a new made for purpose record mailer.  This is then securely taped as marked fragile.

Insured and recorded delivery is used on parcels over a certain values, this is done at our cost for our UK customers, and is already costed in for our overseas buyers.
