HERE'S A MINT UNPLAYED COPY OF THIS RARE PSYCHEDELIC MONSTER, I BOUGHT 2 COPIES A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AND THIS ONE HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED!. THIS COPY ALSO INCLUDES A BOOKLET INSERT, HERE IS WHAT FUZZ, ACID AND FLOWERS HAS TO SAY ABOUT THIS RECORD//////////// Originally based in Oregon, this band began playing regularly in San Francisco by 1966. The 45 they recorded that year for Dot Records is a good-timey Lovin' Spoonful style, bearing little resemblance to most of the material on their 1968 album. Produced by omnipresent Northwest figure Rick Keefer, the album has long captured the interest of collectors world-wide. It is perhaps most notorious for its highly unusual oversized cover - too large to fit into a standard bin in the shops; many were damaged straight away and finding one now in pristine condition is close to impossible! It was a fantastically expensive item to produce, even back in the sixties. Although 1000 covers were printed to match the 1000 albums pressed, only 500 covers were picked up from the printer (these were delivered flat, incidentally - and the band members folded them and glued them up by hand), the plan being to distribute the initial batch and use the money to pay the printer for the balance of the order. Sadly, when they returned for the remainder of the jackets, the shop was out of business. The music, however, suffers from none of this trivia and is highly recommended, especially the recent legit CD on Shadoks which was made from the original master tapes! The album's highlights are many and include the opening track Somebody's Peepin', with its nice vocal harmonies; I Can See It, a folk-rocker with unusual raga-like segments; Wheels Of Fortune, which has a catchy chorus and winds down with a psychedelic guitar jam; I See You're Lookin' Fine, another mildly psychedelic number with interesting echoed vocals and the amazing Her Darkness In December (Drone Song), which is arguably the most psychedelic track on offer. //// DON'T MISS THIS CHANCE TO GET YOUR COPY OF THIS GREAT RECORD!
