Hello and welcome to my auctions.
I am pleased you could stop by and take a look at what I have for sale today. I hope you won't be disappointed at the quality of my merchandise, incl. some obscure progressive, psychedelic rock lp's. Feel free to see all the lp's I have.

Firstly, I must say that I really do know how to grade a record. I have had only 1 complaint about my grading of a record which was 3 years ago.

I have been grading and selling records for many years now and after that time one tends to learn what to look for and describe what you see so that the description relays a mental picture to the other person. Having said that, and with the above facts & figures in mind, please bid with absolute confidence on my listings. I and others would say that I am one of the best and longest in the business and if you want to find sellers who grade badly or package badly with flimsy mailers like many UK sellers (who use envelope mailers with either none or one stiffener) or don't say how they grade/package at all, then it would be easy to do and you will get as much joy from them when you open the mailer as can be expected i.e. none. I grade under direct lamplight..of course, and play grade them on my Rega Planar 2 t/table with RB250 arm and new Elise Cartridge.

A grading of M- is my highest grading for a used record. To my way of grading, if it displays a few light paper scuffs from putting the disc in and out of the inner sleeve or perhaps a few tiny creases to the spine area, this signifies it is a used record but handled with extreme care if there is nothing else to report. It is as good as a used record gets. Anything else/more faults would get EX to EX+ for sure and then downward from there. I AM pretty pedantic. I have had no complaints so I am doing something right obviously. - Which brings me to packaging.

The lp will be placed in the middle of one panel of a 35 x 35cm cardboard which is 4mm thick. Then it is sandwiched between another such panel. These oversized panels mean it is going to be protected from side impacts and corner impacts due to the space all around it. We collectors need this sort of thing badly, but sadly, not many sellers offer it.

Then, after this has been taped around the edges, I take ANOTHER two such 4mm thick panels of the same size and tape them over the original sandwich-style mailer I just made, thus providing an astonishing 8mm (or > 5/16 inch) of impact protection on BOTH SIDES of the lp and tantamount to packing it in an Abrams M-1 tank !! Can send photo of example of completed packaging upon request.

Of course, the lp jacket/sleeve is placed in a plastic outer sleeve and the disc is placed behind it and the plastic sleeve is then taped down around the edges if there is loose space there, to avoid movement or sliding around of the item. If you're sick of receiving bad packaging from record sellers, then you'll be glad to know that that sort of thing stops right here!

I will try and make the condition/description as brief as possible with no hype like "Stunning" etc... as others sellers do.

Well then, now that you have read that and understand the parameters of my listings, here then, are the details and item description of the lp.

For auction today: Madden and Harris - Fools Paradise, on Jasmine label.
As part of todays lot, incl. 3 x ultra rare Australian records, I am listing this lp of superb electric acid folk.

On with the detailed condition - Sleeve has approx. 4 tiny areas of brown and black discolouration on front, centre-top. That's it. Gorgeous with nothing else to report.
Rear has a tiny bit of waveyness, mainly near opening edge. Not easy to spot, to be honest.
Clean spine as you can see and inside g/fold is M-. No r/wear or unwanted writing etc... Grade as EX for sure.

Disc Side 1 has a tiny area of what looks like heat damage to T1. It is small, round and about the size of a 1 cent coin. 1-2 light marks also but non of these things affect play at all. Grade as strong VG+ to EX.

Side 2 has 1 light mark. That;s it. Grade as EX to M-.

Clean labels with only a hint of spindle wear as it has not been played much by the look of it and the mindblowing quality and sharp clarity of the playback proves my assumption to be correct.
Plays with the occasional pop here and there but not due to damage or overplaying, so perhaps needs a VPI clean or similar machine to get rid of dust.

Difficult to find better, but I'll still start at a very modest price.
