GATEFOLD CENTRE OPENING COVER WITH BIRD SHAPED CUTOUT

A black american artist, Mack Porter moved to Italy in the late 60's, where he released some pop and soul-oriented singles for the small Naples label Fans.
Signed to RiFi he made this concept album in 1972, under the name of Mack Sigis Porter, called Peace on you, strongly inspired by psych and slightly progressive atmospheres, with wild guitar solos (and some Hendrix-like vocals) but even some orchestral arrangements.
This rare and expensive album is housed in a nice gatefold centre-opening cover that have the small cutout of a bird shape in the central part. 
Among the guest musicians on the album there was keyboardist Vince Tempera from Il Volo.

One of only 6 copies known of this LP in the world. This record was never reissued.

COVER IS IN STRONG VG+++ (NEARLY MINT) CONDITION. IT IS A LAMINATED GIMMICK COVER AND HAS ONLY SOME WRINKLING AND A VERY LIGHT BENDING ON DOVE’S WING.

VINYL (NO FLEXIBLE) IS NM CONDITION AND LOOKS GLOSSY. SOUND IS EXTREMELY CLEAR. LABELS ARE PERFECT (ON SIDE B IS A LITTLE PROMOTIONAL STICKER “DISCO CAMPIONE NON VENDIBILE”, THAT IS THE ITALIAN FOR: "PROMOTIONAL COPY, NOT FOR SELL".

PEACE ON YOU – L’ANIMA BIANCA DELL’AFRICA. 1972

Mack Porter, artista americano di colore che giunse in Italia agli inizi degli anni ’60 e li’ vi realizzo’ alcuni singoli di pop con misture medio-orientali per una piccola etichetta napoletana: la FANS Firmo’ poi un contratto con la RiFi, e, con il nome di Mack Sigis Porter, diede alla luce questo concept – album, magica fusione di ritmiche africane, progressive music e psichedelia con grandi assolo di chitarra e la splendida voce di Mack Porter, molto simile come timbrica a quella di Jimi Hendrix.

Raro e valutatissimo album con l’insolita cover laminata con apertura al centro ed il ritaglio a forma di colomba.

Tra i musicisti ospiti per la lavorazione di quest’ album, figurava anche Vince Tempera, noto tastierista italiano, che anni piu’ tardi avrebbe fondato, insieme con Alberto Radius, il mitico gruppo “Il Volo”.

UNO DEI DISCHI PIU’ RARI IN ASSOLUTO E DI TUTTI I TEMPI. ESISTONO DI QUESTO DISCO SOLO 6 COPIE PROMO AL MONDO. NON E’ MAI STATO RISTAMPATO.

IL DISCO E’ PRATICAMENTE PERFETTO. LA COPERTINA, MOLTO BELLA E PARTICOLARE, INTEGRA E CONSERVATA IN MODO ESEMPLARE, PRESENTA SOLTANTO ALCUNE INCRESPATURE DELLA PATINA LAMINATA (Fatto abbastanza consueto per le superfici delle cover laminate; mi e’ capitato di vedere un’ altra copia in foto, in condizioni decisamente inferiori, con la stessa caratteristica), E UNA LEGGERA PIEGATURA ALL’ALTEZZA DELL’ALA DELLA COLOMBA. Il vinile e’ in condizioni eccellenti. A voler essere pignoli, se lo si pone sotto una luce molto forte e concentrata si notano rari microscopici leggerissimi segni causati solitamente dall’ atto di inserimento del disco nella sua inner sleeve. Si presenta lucido ed in condizioni super.

Le due etichette sono perfette. Sul lato B c’e’ un piccolo adesivo con su scritto “ DISCO CAMPIONE NON VENDIBILE “
