It was actually Recorded and released in 1969, not 1970. ( ) I like this album A lot. Very Psychedelic , but also krauty OnThe other hands. Maybe Herb Psych? Great sitars, and especially great when blending in with Juergen Drews' voice.
Now, Non-Germans will not Know that dude, but every single German knows him. He is The self-declared " KINGof Majorca". That island off Spain is The favorite vacation place FORWHITE Trash. (Compare To Cancun FORThe main childof entertainment there isTo get drunk outof buckets filled with cheapestRED wine.
Now, that is where our Juergen finds HIS audience nowadays. Unfortunately, HIS songs have ToHIS role pretty well.
But those who Know him say that he is absolutely not that idiot he is pretending ToA well educated, very intelligent man, even sensitive. He was supposed To become AHIS parents expected himTo .
Well, this is The group ( FirstDie Anderen ", then renamed intoAPOCALYPSE ) that got him off that academic trail.
After this group he joined The Les Humphries Singers (late 1970), and when they stopped existing in Theof 1976, he immediately hadHISFirst (and biggest) hit withThe english versionof Bellamy Brothers' "Let YourLOVE flow" ( HIS version,of course, meaning "A bed in the cornfield").
Now, knowing all this and then seeing The 60-year-old performing in AOn stage,One might not believe that thisSame guy was reallyA memberof this herb psych groupAPOCALYPSE , and that he really sang On this record.
But YES , it was really him, and I believe (personally) that this was in ATime when he madeMUSICFOR fun, notTo payThe mortgage.
