Description

Here is Louis Armstong and His Hot Five (Fred Robinson, tb/ Jimmy Strong, cl-ts/ Earl Hines, p/ Mancy Cara, bj/ Zutty Singleton, d) on is a clean E/E- (light scratches) copy of the classic OKeh issue of "Skip the Gutter" (400961; Chicago, June 27, 1928) & "Knee Drops" (400991; July 5, 1928). The disc plays well, with slight surface noise, a tad more prominent on the "Knee Drops" side, but with tremendous presence, as these late Hot Five sessions are very well-recorded. Of course this is a heavy laminated pressing.  Priority US shipping is $7, Media Mail $3, optional insurance is $1.35, international shipping at cost (to be determined after the auction closes). I can combine auction winnings (please see what else I am offering at the moment). Have no fear, I know how to pack fragile 78s so that they will arrive safely, however insurance is recommended.
