This is an excellent album of creative (but not "out") music. Recorded in June of 1975 and released in 1976, it is the first on McNeill's own Baobab record label. His music is adventurous yet accessible and has a spiritual undertone that is at times light and joyous ("As A Matter Of Fact", "Salvation Army") and at other times deep and brooding ("Griot", "You Don't Know What Love Is"). This record would fit comfortably in the Strata-East catalog. McNeill was responsible for the amazing cover art on both the front and back of this record. In a related note, it's my understanding that he's no longer professionally involved in music, but rather has pursued a successful career as a graphic designer. The music world's loss, the art world's gain.
Anyway, this record is an original pressing. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been reissued, officially or otherwise. It has sold for over $200 (on more than one occasion) on eBay recently; so if you want it, bid like you mean it!

The vinyl is in nice condition. It’s clean and shiny with few (if any) marks. It plays well.
The gorgeous cover is in pretty nice condition, too. No writing, stickers, ring wear or seam splits; a few minor marks, but overall quite nice.
Low minimum (considering) and no reserve.
I mail on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
