An incredible find- this more than 60 year old blues album by one of the masters of the genre is in fantastic almost new condition. I would grade this between Very Good+ and Fine+ due to the one imperfection during play. Lightnin' And The Blues by Lightnin' Hopkins was recorded in 1954 and released in April 1960. The record AND the sleeve are in beautiful shape. Only two slight issues- the record has a "smudge" on track 3 of side A - it does very slightly affect the sound quality of that cut- a very slight repeating crackle at the smudge. There are no skips at all. I very gently and carefully played the entire record to check the sound and there are minimal pops/crackle due to the recording technology of 60 years ago. The pure excellence of the recording comes through and sounds marvelous. Secondly, on the front right side of the sleeve is a very slight spot of wear halfway down the edge. No other issues that I can find or determine upon close examination and listening.The classic blues never sounded so good; this awesome collection of blues on vinyl by one of the masters of the genre would be a great addition to the discerning collector. You just don't find records (and sleeves) in this kind of condition. My guess is that the record was carefully played two or three times. A fine gift for the discerning and selective audiophile and/or a lover of the blues.I will very carefully pack and ship this album insured for the full amount paid.
