Description

Lester Sterling 1968 Afrikaan Beat 7" Blue Coxsone

Rare opportunity to acquire this classic trombone instrumental produced by Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd on his own label Coxsone Records, backed by the Paragons' beautiful 'My Satisfaction'. Bought second hand in 1977 by the present owner from Birkenhead's Zephyr Records, the A-side is admittedly crackly, but such a loud clear cut (almost) renders the noises unnoticeable – no skips, and what a groove. The B-side is too short for such a beautiful song, and again is a rather crackly affair! A lovely piece of reggae history, however. The serial number is CS 7080. Many thanks for looking.
