1968 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
WITH RARE **MONO** COVER
This extremely rare mono cover is recognisable by the text is being on the 'frontal' side and the omission of the 'Photographs by John Lennon' text.
Stereo covers had the text printed on the rear panel which carried the photo credit.
This rare 1968 first stereo pressing is on the UK dark green Apple/Track label: 613012 (SAPCOR 2)
Both labels carry the complete track listing, 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Apple Records...' rims
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in rare unlaminated mono cover printed by 'Technink limited'.
Complete with original white 'Patent No...' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: SAPCOR 2A-1 & SAPCOR 2B-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GR & 1/GA
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
Given its very thin unlaminated card construction, this fragile cover has survived extremely well.
Due to its non-lamination the front and rear panels have discoloured from age and bear a slight disc impression.
There are a few light wrinkles to the edges and cornerwear (notably the lower left) but clean and sharp opening edges.
There and no marks, tears or writing anywhere and the spine and all seams are fully intact, strong and unsplit.

Visual & Audio: EXCELLENT MINUS
This copy has clearly only been played a few times and retains very bright and deep gloss surfaces.
There is a 1.5cm scratch which 'ticks' for the first minute of track 1, side 1 and a small manufacturing blemish on the side 2 run-in which makes a very soft and feint noise for the first few revolutions. There are no other audible or visible faults and both sides play without any groovewear, crackle, jumps or repeats.
