Description

An original and very 1st press of PG on the UK Swan label. Matrix A1/B4/C1/D1 - absolute 1st cut. Well worth going for the very earliest copy - they were pressed a shade heavier than other 1st issues. Note the labels are consistent with 1st issue - No Warners logo in the perimeter text. The vinyl comes housed in an original die-cut cover "Cullderstead". We also have both thick card inner sleeves too, and the credit insert. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks per side - absolutely nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback [across 4 sides]. The intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. If you want an all time show-stopper copy...you might want to be paying close attention to this one. I've never witnessed a better playing 1st of PG - it is absolutely top draw. It plays clean into all those low-key slow-builds on side 3 and 4. It's pretty much the complete copy. Audio quality is absolutely stellar - well worth going for these very 1st pressings - particularly if you want to insist on the best possible audio from this classic Zep title. Very little to take issue with - just a couple of crackles in a couple of spots [literally]. A great copy from start to finish - across four sides remember. Superb! 
Cover (Ex)  A total pain to find in top level condition - it nearly always suffers a lot of wear. But I'm pleased to report this copy is looking rather dapper. Firstly, it's constructed out of really strong card - it certainly feels more solid than many examples I've dealt with. Very nice surfaces without the wear so often associated with this title. Expect just a touch of slight wear to one window per side [i.e. practically nothing]. What is particularly nice on this specimen is that there's very little edge wear. Usually the edges are really worn. But this copy looks absolutely superb. Even the spines are well preserved with all text fully legible.
Insert (Ex/Ex-) Just faintest signs of ageing. Much better than you typically find.
Inners (Ex) Excellent - no splits.
