I'll try to be concise, but want to make clear that this is a very very good condition example of the very earliest presses of Zeppelin III. I'm sure if you're prepared to pay serious money for this you'll know all the tell tale signs that show this is a rare 1970 example. On the labels it has:
"PRODUCED BY JIMMY PAGE" AND "EXECUTIVE PRODUCER PETER GRANT" ABOVE THE WHITE LINE IN THE RED PART OF THE LABEL (LATER LABELS HAVE THIS TEXT AT THE BOTTOM WITH NO GRANT REFERNCE.)
THE CATALOGUE NUMBER 2401002 HAS NO DASH, I.E. LATER PRESSINGS SHOW 2401-002
COVER IS THE ABSOLUTE EARLIEST POSSIBLE, FULLY LAMINATED, FRONT SEAMS TOP AND BOTTOM, PETER GRANT CREDIT, INTERNALLY FIXED WHEEL. NO NUMBER UNDER THE "ATLANTIC DELUXE" LOGO ON THE FRONT.
On the run off area:
SIDE ONE. DO WHAT THOUGH WILT 2401002 A-5 1 1 1 6
SIDE TWO. SO MOTE IT BE 2401002 B-5 1 2 1 4
ALSO, THE WRITING AND MATRIX NUMBERS ARE BY HAND, NOT MACHINE STAMPED.
Condition of the vinyl is very good, a dusty finger mark on side two and superficial scuff on side one. Very shiny black, I won't clean as I know we all have our own preferred methods. Evidence of having been played is virtually non existent.
Cover amazing for 43 years old, no spine wear, slight evidence of storage and dust on the inside, very much in one piece, wheel has a smooth action, no loss of laminate at all.
