Description
Here's a very good copy of the UK Stereo pressing of "From Genesis To Revelation" by Genesis on the boxed Decca Records label. Catalogue number SKL.4990. The record comes with the original lyric sheet, inner sleeve and outer sleeve. The record also has very low matrix stampers in the run-off grooves.
Matrix side 1 = ZAL-8339 P-1W (1 DC)
Matrix side 2 = CMA - ZAL-8340 P-2W (21 DM)
Side 1 condition:
Side 1 plays through beautifully well with no jumps, skips or sticks. There is very little background noise throughout, and the production quality is wonderfully clear. 9 / 10.
The surface has an very good plus shine with a few light hairlines, but no heavy or moderate marks to spoil the playback. 8/10.
The label on side 1 is very good plus with very little evidence of wear and no noticeable fading to the text or background. There are a few spider trails around the centre hole, band "Flo" is written lightly in pencil. 8/10
Side 2 condition:
Side 2 plays through beautifully well with very little evidence of light background noise, the production sounds excellent. There are absolutely no sticks, no loud pops and no jumps throughout. 9 / 10
The surface of the record on side 2 is very good plus with a few light hairlines, but it does not have any heavy rubs or moderate scratches to the surface. 8/10.
The label on side 2 is also very good plus with very little fading to the text or to the background. There lighrlt signs of spider trails around the centre hole, and it is without discolouration. 9/10
The Lyric inner sheet is in very good condition with no tears or writing, but with some light creasing and discolouration.
The inner sleeve is in good condition with one seam split, perimeter wear and some discolouration.
The outer sleeve is in good condition with no splits or tears. There is a bit of ring wear and some discolouration on the front and rear but the print is very good with very little fading. The outer perimeters and spine have a little bit of rubbing along their length, but nothing serious, as you can still read the credits. 6/10
