Description
I'm a record collector occasionally selling surplus items to make space for more purchases. I always try to give honest descriptions with no hype or exaggeration - please see my feedback.
I always pack LPs in a separate disposable inner sleeve, outside the original inner sleeve and album cover, to prevent any possible damage to the original sleeve.
This is my copy of the Classic Records 200g Led Zeppelin II which I bought new many years ago, when it was still in print. I've only played it a few times on my audiophile rig and the vinyl itself is in superb, near mint condition with no defects. There are no spindle marks and the record has been very carefully looked after.
However, the label and sleeve have the following defects which I've tried to show clearly in the photographs:
1. The spine of the sleeve has faded through exposure to daylight - not direct sunlight, but simply daylight. (Picture three.) The ink they used must have been very susceptible to U/V light.
2. Classic Records used to pack their records in an open-top sleeve with a sticker across the top and this often pulled away some of the ink on the top of the sleeve. It has happened here. (Picture four.) Please note that this is not a seam split.
3. One of the labels has an uneven surface. (Picture five.) This is because the vinyl underneath is uneven and the label has been attached to this uneven surface, not because of any damage to the label itself.
4. The LP arrived in the post with bumps to the corners and the worst of these is shown in the final picture. (Picture six.)
Please note, the first picture showing the album cover is affected by reflections from the plastic sleeve. There's no discoloration to the album cover.
