Description

Here’s a very rare pressing of Led Zeppelin II. This is the very FIRST pressing of the album, which is known as the Bob Ludwig Loud Mix. The initials “RL” and “SS” are in the trailoff on both sides. Copies of this album were recalled off store shelves when complaints from buyers rolled in. The music was recorded so loudly onto the disc that cheaper record players couldn’t track the grooves. But, when played on a mid to high end system, this record sounds absolutely awesome. "Standard" pressings of this LP were severly compressed and don't even compare sound-wise! This is on the Atlantic label, number SD 8236, original pressing from 1969. The vinyl grades VG. There is some wear and scuffing to the vinyl, occasional clicks here and there, but the nice thing about these pressings is the music was recorded so loudly, it has a tendency to drown out surface noise. This is a West Coast pressing, as designated by the “MO” suffix on the label and MR in a circle in the trailoff. Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you. California residents add 8.225% tax. Happy bidding!!
