Description
A 1st pressing of Zeppelin's debut LP on the French Atlantic label. Super heavy weight vinyl. The record comes housed in an original cover with flipbacks and the original 1st issue catalogue number in the bottom right 0920078. This first issue cover mentions, on the bottom flap, that the Lp is being distributed in France by 'Barclay International'.
Vinyl (Ex-) In superb shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal - we detected a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. The only deviation to the grading is during 'Dazed & Confused' where a mark runs across much of the track and causes a light tick once a rotation. Other than that playback really is a treat with excellent resolution and detail.
Cover (Ex+) In absolutely superb shape and has clearly been looked after. A lovely shiny front and back with almost no ageing apparent at all. Flipbacks are all secure. The spine is 100% intact. edge wear is almost on-existent. overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and I'd imagine you'll struggle ever finding a better example than this.
