LSC 1807-180g – Reiner/Chicago Symphony Orchestra - STRAUSS - Ein Heldenleben 180g LP Classic Records Reissue - STILL SEALED
This gem, originally issued as both LM 1807 (Mono) and VICS 1042 (stereo), was recorded during the same “Reiner does Strauss" sessions as the maestro’s legendary Also Sprach Zarathustra (LSC 1806). Ein Heldenleben was recorded on March 6th 1954, two days before the legendary Zarathustra (LSC 1806) recording, with the same experimental two-microphone set-up pioneered by Jack Pfeiffer to produce the now legendary "Living Stereo" sound. The magnitude of this Ein Heldenleben recording is every bit as impressive as that of Reiner’s Zarathustra. For the first time ever, this LSC1807 version is available from Classic Records, as it was originally intended. The cover artwork has been re-worked in the same way as many of the original mono releases were reconstituted by RCA for its "Living Stereo" series. Finally LSC 1807 can now stand proudly next to its famous brother, LSC 1806! Transferred from the original master tapes at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood and cut on Classic's "ALL Tube" cutting system and pressed at 180g by RTI for Classic Records.

Packaging

Payments & Shipping
State tax will be charged to California residents. These costs will be included in your final invoice for payment.
Payment must be completed within 7 days of purchase or auction win. Items will ship within 2-3 business days of receiving cleared payment.

Shipping costs will be calculated after the winning bid is submitted to ensure that costs are accurate depending upon resident's address, the item's weight and type of shipping service.
Combined shipping is available.
