LIPS “Hard ‘n Heavy” rare Canadian heavy metal lp M-
1981/Cdn/Splash 007…..The cover is in solid VG+ condition, there is light storage soiling top and bottom, there is a thin horizontal line near the bottom on the front and it appears to have been done at the factory, there is light aging along the opening edge, there is a thin ¾” long light surface tear on the title that runs just under the right side of the H and inti the bottom of the e in “Heavy”, the back has a tear on the opening edge under the song listing and a couple of small scrapes under it, the bottom left corner on the back shows light damage/wear, if you look at the front there is a very light stain on the very bottom that runs up an inch at the highest point, it’s not really that noticeable but I think that’s what caused the minor damge on the right lower rear corner, it’s not really that bad but it’s details you need to know. The vinyl is in M- condition. Clean labels show no wear or spindle marks, plays clean with excellent fidelity. This copy also comes with the original custom inner sleeve, it’s clean and solid but all three sides have a clean 3” split. A nice copy and a rare lp for your collection! This album was released by the band independently before signing with Attic Records. Only 1,000 copies of this LP were pressed. It was recorded between July and December, 1980 at Quest Recording Studios in Oshawa, Ontario.
The band is: Lips (Lead Guitar/Lead Vocals), Dave Allison (Rhythm Guitar/Vocals), Ian Dickson (Bass) and Robb Reiner (Drums). The LP was produced by Allison, Reiner and Lips.

MINT: as stated with no defects
NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean
EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much
VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
