Description
A great opportunity to buy a VINYL LP from the 1970s by Lightnin' Hopkins called "Let's Work Awhile".
This is a U.K. FIRST pressing released in 1971 (but recorded in 1964/65 time) on the Blue Horizon (Post War Masters series) label (2431 005) (mono) and has 10 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:- 2431 005 A 1 11 1(side one) and 2431 005 B 1 11 1(side two).
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and although there are a few light hairline surface marks evident, I have played both sides in their entirety and they both play fine and sound SUPERB.
The labels are free from any writing, stickers or major defects. There are a few spindle marks noticeable on both sides when tilted towards the light.
The record is flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within its original poly-lined white die-cut inner sleeve, in a VERY GOOD condition, but with some creasing at the corners.
The E.J.Day Group Ltd cover is in a VERY GOOD condition. The edges and spine are still strong and the printing on the spine is just readable (see photo). There is a light creasing on the back cover close to the spine and some wear at the corners.
This is still a highly collectable Blues LP and should be of interest to avid collectors.
