The color hasn’t faded at all on this beautiful cover. It’s gorgeous. The record has been ultrasonically cleaned at my local shop to ensure proper grading. Record is stored in a discwasher VRP static-free sleeve outside of the jacket.
Want to give accurate and conservative grading on such a classic album.
Record VG: does have a few very light surface scratches, but play tested and plays thru with very minimal clicks or pops, background surface noise only present in between songs if even at times. There are a couple minuscule pits but aren’t audible. I tried to photograph the ‘severity’ of the surface scratches, which there aren’t any that are deal breakers, and also show how lustrous and solid the record is for its age. The most serious lookin scratch is on the first track of the B side and I can’t even feel it with my thumb nail. Plays through just fine.
Sleeve VG: gotta call the sleeve VG despite the 5” seam split (see pictures) because the front of the cover is practically as vibrant as the day it hit the shelves. Back of jacket is also nice. There is old tape discoloration at the back top where the seam was once repaired but it isn’t sticky. Corner wear shown in photos.
