LEON PETERSON - Now, Romer Records

Rare, never released LP. Rumor has it there were only a few of these pressed to promote interest. It's unfortunate this record was never released because the songs here are excellent, and we already knew Leon Peterson from his many soul singles.
There's no catalog number on this pressing, only the phone number to the record label. Etched in the dead wax is "Romer side 1, & Romer side 2.
This comes in a generic cover with the proposed title of the LP stamped on the cover.


CONDITION:

VINYL is VG+. This is a nice and shiny, heavy record that plays excellent. I heard soft surface noise at the lead in, and between tracks. Side 2, track2 played with soft intermittent noise for a few seconds at a time. There was absolute silence between some tracks. Great songs here. A little funk, some soul ballads, and northern soul dancers.

COVER is below average. There's some writing on the back, a taped edge, and age discoloration.

PACKAGING:

I ship in sturdy cardboard LP mailers with the record separated from the cover (unless it's sealed). I also fill the mailer with extra cardboard to prevent the record from sliding around in the package.


GRADING - (DONE VISUALLY, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED) Near Mint is my highest grade, & I don't use ++. I don't grade covers, I just describe them.
 

NEAR MINT (NM) - Nearly perfect vinyl. No obvious signs of wear. Clean looking labels. Looks like it was hardly ever played. This record looks like it will play without any surface noise.

EXCELLENT (EX) - An excellent quality record with no more than a few very faint scuffs. This record may look like it has been played, but handled with extreme care.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) - Record surface may show some slight signs of wear and may have light scuffs but nothing you can feel with your fingertip. Faint surface noise may be present between tracks and at the lead in.

VERY GOOD (VG) - Many of the defects found on a VG+ record are more pronounced on a VG disc. Surface noise may be heard but will not overpower the music. There may be light scratches that can affect the sound with occasional pop and crackle.
