Description
I'm selling a few odds, sods, dead ends and dupes from my overwhelming collection.
This is one of those great rock collectibles - the 'plum' Atlantic issue of Led Zeppelin IV. This is version 3, with the misprinted inverted feather on the B-side label, and the overstickering to top and bottom of both labels - unusually, in this case however, the bottom sticker doesn't cover Peter Grant's credit on side two!
The sleeve isn't without its flaws: it has a small piece of ancient sellotape to the middle of right-hand edge (which doesn't, however seem to cover any tear or rip); it looks like the record was actually held shut by it at some point. It has a tear to the top left-hand area of the back cover where someone has tried to peel back a Music & Tape Exchange sticker at some point in the dim and distant (it wasn't me!). No corner or hinge splits, or bad edgewear; the inner gatefold is looking really nice.
The inner sleeve is clean, but it does have significant (clean) seam splits: it's not frayed. no taping, however.
Vinyl has scuffs and microscuffs, but plays very well indeed. Side A - VG: some crackle during the quieter passages; one pop during The Battle of Evermore. Side B - VG+/EX: hardly any surface noise at all. No sticks or jumps; the vinyl outpaces the sleeve, condition-wise!
