Description

An original mono 1st press of the debut on the UK Columbia label from 1961. Matrix 1N/1N. Stampers 1RH/1GO. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original flipback Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100%.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. One is tempted to call it faultless as it's getting very close. Just pure clean audio all the way through with that lovely early 60's warmth in the sound. No chance bettering this copy so I wouldn't even bother looking. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect were a couple of light crackles in a couple of isolated spots ..the whole way through...stunning in every way.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Nice shiny front with barely a crease. The rear is exhibiting some light ageing on the rear. Edge wear is light and the spine is pretty much entirely intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Lightest of ageing. No splits.
